Phi Hua To is a limestone cave on the Phuket Range
, Surrounded by brackish canals sush as Khlong Tha
Prang Khlong Tham Lot , Khlong Tham Phi Hua To and
a mangrove forest. The cave is located at approximately
3.5 meters above sea level and houses two spacious
connected chambers, with prehistoric cave paintings
depicting human figures, marine animals as well as
utensils. It is presumed to have been a burial or
ceremonial site of cave people believed to have roamed
this area between 2,000-3,000 years ago. |
